Location Based Services for Madhya Pradesh Police Dial 100 Services (MDP100)
Introduction
MPD100 service requires the caller to provide information of their location to the call taker and also provide a landmark so as to be able to send the nearest first responder vehicle FRV so that it can reach as fast as possible.
However this process takes precious time which could be saved or shortened with modern location based services (LBS) technology. Hence this service was deployed at MP Dial 100 and has sucessfully agumented the location info of the caller thus providing a faster dispatch.
