Madhya Pradesh Police Dial 100 Services (MPD100)
Introduction
Madhya Pradesh Police Dial 100 service is a public safety service by the Government of Madhya Pradesh (MP) for the residents of the state of MP. Any person in the state of MP can dial 100 for any police related emergency using a fixed or cellular phone. Based on the location of the caller and type of emergency; a police dispatcher sends the nearest first responder vehicle (FRV) to the location. This service has 1000 GPS tracked police FRV equipped with modern communication tools including, cellular voice, radio frequency voice and cellular data. These FRV are equipped with a mobile data terminal (MDT) which is a rugged computer always connected to the emergency response center (ERC) – computer aided dispatch (CAD) system. The ERC itself is state of the art facility based at Bhopal, MP and hosts an on-premise data center along with 110 agents which includes 85 call takers and 25 police dispatchers. The ERC has been designed and built with complete redundancy to eliminate any single point of failure. MP Dial 100  technology is capable of handling 200,000 calls a day and is designed for the future with about 100,000 calls hitting the system daily within the first few months of the service being operational.

Photon collaborated as a technology partner with the bidder BVG India Ltd (BVG) for the Madhya Pradesh Police Dial 100 project. Photon executed the designing and deployment of the data center and contact center at Police Telecom headquarters, Bhopal – Madhya Pradesh. After completing the deployment in record time, the service was inaugurated and became operational on 1st of November 2015.  In  a very short span of time the service gained great reviews from the People of Madhya Pradesh. Photon continues to support MPD100 as managed services provider (MSP).
