National Highway Ambulance Services Dial 1033 (NHA1033)
Introduction
NHAI launched a pilot project for providing emergency ambulance services on the Mumbai Vadodara highway. Any caller facing a medical emergency on this highway could dial 1033 and the nearest highway ambulance would be dispatched. This ambulance would arrive on the site of emergency on the Mumbai Vadodara highway and rush the patient to the nearest hospital.
